Commercial Advisory: Notice on Force Majeure

Due to the ongoing military operations and resulting deterioration of the security situation in the Arabian Gulf, conditions have arisen that are beyond the reasonable control of the Carrier and impact the safe navigation of merchant vessels.

In accordance with applicable Force Majeure provisions, War Risk Clauses, and Slot Allocation Agreements, Folk Maritime hereby declares the present circumstances as a Force Majeure event.

Following a risk assessment undertaken to safeguard crew, vessel, and cargo, the vessel Folk Dammam – Voyage IG2609W will conclude her Arabian Gulf rotation at Sohar, Oman.

All containers onboard with final destinations within the Arabian Gulf will be discharged at Sohar Port, with onward arrangements to be coordinated by respective partners and cargo interests.

The Carrier shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or non-performance arising from these Force Majeure conditions. Our Operations and Customer Service teams remain available to support necessary coordination while the situation continues to be monitored.
